WHY I'M RUNNING
Stroke can happen to anyone, at any age. Tedy Bruschi — three-time Super Bowl champion and one of the toughest players to ever wear a Patriots jersey — suffered a stroke at just 31 years old. He didn't just survive it. He came back and played three more NFL seasons.
That comeback spirit is what Tedy's Team is all about. This October, I'm lacing up at Walt Disney World to run the Wine & Dine 10K and raise money for stroke awareness, research, and survivor recovery programs. I was chosen as one of only 25 runners from a pool of over 200 applicants — and I don't take that lightly.
Your donation, no matter the size, goes directly to helping stroke survivors make their own comebacks. It funds research, rehab programs, and community support that give people a fighting chance.
Only 25 charity bibs were available for the Wine & Dine 10K. Over 200 people applied. I'm honored to be one of the few selected to represent Tedy's Team on race day.
